A few of our brilliant fundraisers
Lynne, Beth & Jo Ashbridge
The Ashbridges took on challenges across two continents to raise money for our JAAGO playspace project.
At the age of 62, Lynne completed her first half marathon - the Great North Run, with Jo. Beth covered a marathon distance (26.2 miles) in a series of events in New York over 6 months. They crossed the finish lines on the same day and raised an amazing £2,484.
Hear from Lynne.
Hannah Davey
Hannah is one of our amazing volunteers, giving her time to AzuKo. She led a team from MTT Limited to run the Nuclear Race.
They battled 7km of seriously muddy terrain, and raised £396 for our work.
Ruth Baker
Ruth is an AzuKo champion, and has been since we began. As well as supporting our projects with her design skills, she set herself the challenge to devour 1,000 miles.
After a year and half, Ruth crossed the finish line at her final event. What an achievement. She raised £554 for both AzuKo and CRASH. We know how many hills she climbed - Ruth we salute you!
Ed Sayce
Ed has known the AzuKo team since 2012, when he worked as a volunteer with SAFE in northwest Bangladesh. He joined the team to build a new double-storey bamboo house for the Rana family in Jogen Babu Maath slum.
He set his sights on the Bournemouth marathon to raise money for our work. He smashed his target in under 3hr 45mins and raised £1,384. Go Ed - the marathon man!
