Interested in raising money for AzuKo? Great to hear!
Your efforts will improve lives in some of the world's poorest communities. Whether you're competing in a sponsored run, growing a Movember tash, hosting a bake sale or that rather special jumper party, we’d love to hear from you.
We're registered with Virgin Money Giving and BT MyDonate. Setting up an online fundraising page is a quick and easy way to collect donations. We've also created a few resources to help you with your campaign:
Run for #teamazuko
Take on a half marathon or full marathon this Autumn and be an AzuKo superhero.
This year we have guaranteed charity places at the following events:
Our 2017 fundraising heroes
Ed has known the AzuKo team since 2012, when he worked as a volunteer with SAFE in northwest Bangladesh. He joined the team to build a new double-storey bamboo house for the Rana family in Jogen Babu Maath slum.
He's now set his sights on the Bournemouth marathon to raise money for our work. This will be his first marathon... 26.2 brutal miles along the coast. Show your support and let's cheer him across the finish line this October!
Ruth is an AzuKo champion, and has been since we began. As well as supporting our projects with her design skills, she has set herself the challenge to devour 1000 miles over the course of 2016/17. Ruth will be raising money for both AzuKo and CRASH.
You can sponsor Ruth via Virgin Money Giving, join her on one of the many scheduled events, and share your support on social media using the hashtag #1000mile challenge.
... and in 2016
Laura Evans joined 57,000 runners for the Great North Run on 11 September. Starting in Newcastle Upon Tyne the 13.1 mile route took runners through the city centre towards the River Tyne.
Originally from Sunderland, Laura received an amazing set of A-Level results this summer, and has just started studying Geography at Manchester University.
Laura raised a fabulous £186.
Justin Brown and Jo Ashbridge
Justin and Jo ran the Paris Marathon on 3 April... 26.2 miles in the blistering heat. They raised a staggering £2507 for our current project in JBM slum. The money will be used to improve living conditions. Amazing efforts!
