Interested in raising money for AzuKo? Great to hear!

Your efforts will improve lives in some of the world's poorest communities. Whether you're competing in a sponsored run, growing a Movember tash, hosting a bake sale or that rather special jumper party, we’d love to hear from you.

Lynne (mother) & Beth Ashbridge (daughter)

The Ashbridges are taking on challenges across two continents to raise money for our JAAGO playspace project.

At the age of 62, Lynne will tackle her first half marathon - the Great North Run in Newcastle this September, with Jo. Wow! Beth will be covering a marathon distance (26.2 miles) over a series of events in New York during the next 6 months. Her final race is on the same day as the GNR. They'll cross the finish line together. We're emotional at the thought.

... and in 2016 & 2017

Ruth Baker

Ruth is an AzuKo champion, and has been since we began. As well as supporting our projects with her design skills, she set herself the challenge to devour 1000 miles over the course of 2016/17.

After a year and half, Ruth crossed the finish line at her final event. What an achievement. She raised £554 for both AzuKo and CRASH. We know how many hills she climbed - Ruth we salute you!

Having turned 30 at Christmas I decided, in an early mid-life crisis moment, to set myself a challenge to raise some money for two amazing charities and complete 1000 miles by means of running, cycling or walking.

Ed Sayce

Ed has known the AzuKo team since 2012, when he worked as a volunteer with SAFE in northwest Bangladesh. He joined the team to build a new double-storey bamboo house for the Rana family in Jogen Babu Maath slum

In October he set his sights on the Bournemouth marathon to raise money for our work. He smashed his target in under 3hr 45mins and raised a whopping £1384. Go Ed - the marathon man!

Laura Evans

Laura Evans joined 57,000 runners for the Great North Run on 11 September. Starting in Newcastle Upon Tyne the 13.1 mile route took runners through the city centre towards the River Tyne.

Originally from Sunderland, Laura received an amazing set of A-Level results this summer, and has just started studying Geography at Manchester University. Laura raised a fabulous £186.

Justin Brown and Jo Ashbridge

Justin and Jo ran the Paris Marathon on 3 April... 26.2 miles in the blistering heat. They raised a staggering £2507 for our project in JBM slum. The money will be used to improve living conditions. Amazing efforts!
